A beautiful reason to look forward to Tax Day

April 8, 2009

I have to say, kudos to those salons being responsive to our faltering economy. Privé salon, which has locations in NY and LA, has been offering an Interview Prep Package for $95 that combines a cut, blowout and your choice of eyebrow shaping or manicure. According to BellaSugar, they are also going the extra mile and offering career placement services though job searching agencies in their respective city post-haircut.

Now, Salon Eiji in NY is following suit by announcing a stimulus package to help you deal with your recession woes. They’re offering complimentary haircuts to the first 50 clients who book when you bring in your 2009 layoff notice from your employer, AND on Tax Day (4/15) they’re also offering a free consultation with their celebrity colorists. Who wouldn’t want the same stylists who tend to Megan Fox and Catherine Zeta-Jones advise you on your own hair?

And it don’t stop there:

• Schedule five blowouts and the 6th one is on the house

• Cuts on ‘training nights’ for apprentices start at $40; single process and highlights start at $30

• Free bang trims and their trademark “Bangtox” – instead of using injections, they say they’ll cut your bangs to take years off your look.

I say start booking, like, now.
