A little bit of France in New York

Strolled into Lucien one night, a cute French spot in the East Village right off the 2nd Ave stop on the F train. They had small portions which were actually just right. I can still taste the succulent hanger steak doused in mushroom sauce.

hanger steak (Onglet Au Vin Et Champignons, $24)

Beet, goat cheese and spouts in vinaigrette salad (Salade De Betteraves Et Chêvre, $11)

Onion soup gratinée (Soup À L’oignon Classique, $11)

So I’m thinkin: Taste delivered even though portions aren’t that large for the price; good for a date in the uber French atmosphere.
