Let’s talk face brightening masks

I.love.face.masks.

After a shower, nothing feels more luxurious than using one. And since I’m a guinea pig of sorts, I have a couple favorites that I’ve used for years. I’ve tried many in between, but still think these come out on top. I’ll share one of them for now and save the other for later!

I came across 100% Pure’s Pineapple Enzyme Facial Peel ($17) a few years ago. The vegan brand says they are truly “100% Pure-no synthetic chemicals, chemical preservatives, artificial fragrances, artificial colors, harsh detergents or any other unhealthy toxins.” Which is great for my skin because it can be fussy and sensitive at times.

The Pineapple Enzyme mask also has papaya and vitamin C antioxidants and brightener. It actually comes in a powder form, and what you do is mix 1 tbs powder with 1 tsp. water until it’s a sticky liquid consistency, then apply it on you face. Leave it on for about 5-10 minutes and wash off. They suggest you can also mix with milk, tea, or fruit juice, but since my skin is sensitive, I like to just stick to water.

It’s a great pick-me-up and never fails to brighten my face. I’m so happy I rediscovered it recently after I thought I lost the jar somewhere. And because it’s all natural, it’s very non-irritating as I’ve experience. Since it comes in a powder form, it also lasts forever! I’ve had mine for over three years now and still works like a charm.

It’s available at www.100percentpure.com and at Bath & Body Works (for full store list, go to their website).

Do you have any favorite brightening face masks?
