Howdy. Hope you’re celebrating today by being extra conscious about the environment! “Green” products are definitely in the spotlight right now more than ever. That’s why France-native and celeb stylist Laurent D’s timing is perfect for his new eco-friendly Privé Concept Vert products which launches TODAY. Laurent is a celeb stylist (whose clients include everyone from Salma Hayek to Uma Thurman, and is also the owner of Privé salons, which I had mentioned earlier was proactive in helping people with the job search).

He’s been working on the past few years on adding this amazing sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to his luxe line which uses pure organic extracts like amazon acai and babassu oil, and comes in reusable packaging. The best part is, it lasts twice as long as other shampoos. Only a nickel size yields a lot of lather and is good for just about any hair type (yes, curly folks and colored-hair too!).

I had the awesome pleasure to meet Laurent yesterday to try out Concept Vert [interesting fact: he told me the reason he got into hair was because he wanted to be a drummer! He began as a shampoo-boy to pay for a drum set but fell in love with doing hair]. All they used was the shampoo and conditioner and blow dried it out. And seriously, my hair was shinnnny by the end of it. I was so excited, I took a couple pics for you to see!

What do you think?
Laurent gave me my own to try, so I’ll let you know how it goes. But my hair right now feels soft and guilt-free 😉

Privé Concept Vert shampoo ($28) and conditioner ($28) launches TODAY and is available at elite salons and Privé salons. See Privé’s website for more info: www.priveproducts.com

Ok I’m sold based on the pictures of your hair alone. I’ll be honest – I’ve never really experimented with the more expensive or professionally-used shampoos. In fact, I’ve probably been using L’Oreal Elvive for the last five-odd years. But I have been thinking lately about changing it up just to see what happens.
