Smile Thai & Peter Bjorn and John.

I was SO excited on Friday to see one of my favorite bands, Peter Bjorn and John, perform in Philly at World Cafe Live. Before the show, we stopped to have some thai grub. It’s called Smile Cafe, a quaint and super quiet restaurant right near the venue which turned out to have the perfect-sized portions.

We ordered thai ice tea, tofu soup, their “Wonderful Crispy” which is marinated chicken in crispy thai pastry. For entrees, I ordered my favorite Panang curry sauce with chicken, and the Radna, which is pan fried flat noodle with chicken, shrimp, and gravy brow sauce. The food reminded me of Wondee Siam, a standard thai place I frequent on 9th Ave., near where I work. It was also really nice to eat in a peaceful environment, which is a big departure from dinner at most places in NYC.

I’m so jealous that you saw them! You know when you’re making iPod playlists, and the same couple of songs show up on all your lists? Young Folks was pretty much my favorite song of last year. *more jealousy*
