OK, so I was really excited to try the food here, after passing by and noticing this new spot one day. The inside is absolutely beautiful, and I love hummus so thought this was a no brainer.
We got the Pomegranate Lemonade ($2.50 — just OK) and the Mushroom Hummus and the Egyptian Hummus.
Have to say, I was really disappointed. They were both the same thing — except one was topped with mushrooms and the other with fava beans. I thought if you’re gonna name a place Hummus Kitchen, you should have your dishes stand out, or be a little more exotic, a little different. The woman next to us had a really tasty looking dish, the Shakshuka ($6.95)…though, again, if it actually is better than the hummus, might need to re-think the name, no?
So I’m thinking: Decor is gorge, and I did like the fresh baked wheat pitas…but I think I’ll stick to Sabra for now.

ever since i started making my own hummus i don’t bother ordering them at restaurants or buying the expensive stuff at stores. you should try making it at home!
Yesss I’ve had homemade hummus before and it’s delicious! Not hard to make either!
