Baci & Abbracci revisited

Saturday was a beyootiful day to go bike riding. My friend and I went all over, and ended up in Brooklyn. For a biking break, I remembered how much I wanted to try the pizzas at Baci & Abracci, so we made a pit stop there. I love the courtyard in the back, which was especially nice in the sunny weather.

Apparently A&B is known to have a special brick oven grill imported straight from Naples that makes their pizzas so authentic tasting. We ordered the Margherita pizza (mozzarella, tomato sauce, and basil). By the way, it was one of the few times I didn’t have my camera on me, so I tried to take a picture with my phone!

The pizza was really good, but it’s really soft (you know, like so soft, a third of the cheese falls off when you’re trying to pick it up and put it on your plate), and made it a little hard to eat without a fork and spoon. They’re 12” so if you’re starving, I’d order two because one is just not going to cut it. The crust was thick and crisp, and overall it was pretty good, but I think I was expecting more. Still a good spot to check out in Williamsburg if you’re ever around.
