Umm, can we talk about Gwyneth Paltrow’s oily legs for a sec?

So, I actually missed this episode of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, but had to look it up once a friend asked me if I knew what was up with Gwyneth Paltrow’s super shiny legs.

I was really confused because I don’t think I’ve ever really heard about that kind of beauty faux pas. But sure enough, from the knees down, Paltrow’s legs look like they were coated with Crisco. Looks like someone must have noticed this too on the normally elegantly primped actress, since the shine was clearly toned down during the second segment of the show.

Part II

The Daily News did some homework for us and asked her publicist about it:

Apparently, it was some sort of moisturizer the makeup person applied to the actress’ legs, her publicist Stephen Huvane wrote in an e-mail to the Daily News.

“It was clearly not quite absorbed in completely,” Huvane wrote.

Hmm. Looks way too greasy to be simply moisturizer. Ladies, please don’t reach for the baby oil when you’re thinking sexy sheen. Save the gloss for your lips and instead try something more like Sally Hansen Airbrush Shimmer ($13) or Victoria’s Secret Bare Bronze Sheer Tinted Body Lotion with SPF 15 ($18) so you don’t end up looking like you were actually on your way to the beach. Just a thought.

In my opinion it is obvious. I would not wish to develop this theme.

Her legs were so so shiny and gross. She also looked way too tan and skinny! Not a huge fan of hers, can you tell??

This is a smart weblog. I mean it. You’ve so much knowledge about this issue, and so much passion. You also understand how to make people rally behind it, obviously from the responses. Youve got a design here thats not too fancy, but makes a statement as big as what you are saying. Excellent job, indeed.
