The best dessert I’ve had like ever

I don’t know what the name of this almond-shell, chocolate mousse, fruity creation of heaven is, but I suggest you stop by the cozy Cafe Mocha yourself in the East Village and give it a taste.

It had all my favorite things in one — almonds, chocolate mousse, fresh fruits. Uff. I was taken to another place when I had it last weekend. Coupled with a spicy chai latte and I was just too happy for words.

Seriously, it’s right around the corner from you guys! I’ve seen it before but never stopped in until now. The guys behind the register are pretty cool too — I have a problem changing my mind a million times before settling on my order, and while I first was going to get the white choc mousse (since he said it was the most popular), I saw this afterwards and I guess he saw me salivating so he said I can switch it since they’re about the same price!

  7. I miss New York because of the individuality of the shops I wish we had a place like Cafe Mocha in our neighborhood! I’m in Dallas and there are mostly the franchise places and we get tired of them. We don’t have any homey cafes like this. These deserts look terrific!

  8. I think I am going to try this over the weekend when I’m in town. D.C. pales in comparison when it comes to quaint and tasty coffee spots. We have a couple, but nothing all that creative.
