I know, I’m sorry. I REALLY can’t help it. But Kim Kardashian tried the OPI’s Matte Nailpolish, and I had to report.
She added her own twist by adding clear gloss to the tips so it looks like a black french manicure. Apparently her mom hates it.
Still looking into the shade for you, but it looks like a soon to be released OPI for Sephora shade in Onyx.
UPDATE: She’s actually sporting OPI Matte Polish in Lincoln Park After Dark, which is a really deep indigo that almost appears black! It retails for $8.50 and available at Professional Salons, including JCPenney, Regis, Trade Secret, and Ulta.

i know this post doesn’t count (since you said one comment per post), but have you talked about the ‘minx’ phenomenon? i think it deserves a post. i’m still tryin to get my head around the whole concept- why people like it, what’s so special and different about it, how long it lasts, etc- so it would be great to get your perspective since you are the reigning nail polish queen given the number of posts you’ve dedicated to nail polish. thanks 😉

Should I know who Kim Kardashian is? I keep hearing her name but can’t figure out what she actually does. Maybe I need to get a tv. Regardless, I’m not a fan of the black on black thing. You can barely see it. I do like the Matte though it sort of looks like you put on colored white-out instead of nail polish.

I think it’s an interesting change, something worth trying especially in the winter months when darker tones are in. But I try to avoid anything related to the Kardashians…

I don’t actually own any matte polishes, but im lusting after essie’s matte about you mattifying top coat. figured if i have that, I’ll be able to satisfy this desire to get alllllll the matte polishes lol

i dont think i really like the matte finish nail polishes, they make nails look too dull loll im too used to the perfectly manicured shiny nails
i’m with erica. matte finish on nails reminds me of dull, old metal for some reason. maybe i’m just not adventurous enough for these new trends.
