My Mom’s homemade Indian cooking

I got news my mom cooked up a storm last weekend. I shortly received the pictures afterwards.

The line up included:

  • Chicken Shish Kababs
  • Haleem – an Indian dish made of lentils, wheat, meat and spices
  • Pakoras – onion or spinach doused in a gram flour mix and fried
  • Dahi Bada – lentil/flour mixture fried then put in a yogurt mix
  • Faluda – Indian dessert
  • All very staple Ramadan plates! Ramadan, when we fast from sunrise to sunset, is also a time when we make an extra effort to see family and loved ones and enjoy breaking fast together!

So, basically this is what I miss when I move away.

I’m not crying. It’s just been raining. On my face.

yea i’m not a fan of fruit chaat either. i find it strange that we mix spices with fruits. that’s so weird.
