My new favorite LA spa: Face to Face

During the last two months, the extreme heat that had overtaken Southern California wreaked havoc on my face. My normally manageable skin has become dull, dry, and blemished.

I decided that it was time to seek professional help.

Lucky for you, I’m a bit of a cynic when it comes to facials. I’ve often found that they provide more relaxation than results…and I want results.

So, I sifted tirelessly through multiple SoCal spas, dermatologist offices, and their respective services until I came across one that struck me: Face to Face in Studio City.

I was intrigued by this spa’s philosophy of changing skin by treating it from the inside out, so I figured I would give it a shot. And I have to say, I’ve finally found a place that delivers what it claims!

Face to Face offers a variety of services, including the scientifically-based, well-recognized Iderm Dermaculture Treatment which I opted for. They use a low intensity galvanic current to deliver ions to the deeper layers of skin–the dermis–while infusing skin with hydration and antioxidants.

Afterwards, I literally did not recognize the person with undetectable pores and glowing skin staring back at me in the mirror. It was so captivating, in fact, that I must have lost track of time while gazing at my reflection, because Marianne, my genius aesthetician and co-founder of Face to Face, returned to my treatment room to make sure I was okay.

Other services include Iderm treatments, customized masks, and Botox (hey, it’s L.A.). They even have an on-site dermatologist and hair salon.

No need to fear the masses, however. The relatively new spa, which has been open for just under a year, is tucked away in a Getty-like oasis just off of Ventura Boulevard. Your appointment will likely feel like a private party. Despite my desire for results, I’m not opposed to a little pampering.

The celeb crowd is starting to take notice, which is, evidently, how Hef’s girlfriends keeps their “girls next door” glow.

For those of you who are not located in Southern Cali, you can still get a Face to Face experience at home with their products sold online. I am in love with Quench, a light but highly nourishing moisturizer that smells like an orange creamsicle. Actually, there are no words to describe how delicious this smells. Just try it.

    Melissa,

I am so glad that you found Marianne and Face to Face in Los Angeles. I have been blessed to have found Marianne years ago and would never dream of going to anyone else. My skin is radiant and always glowing. Her new location with Robert is amazing. I always feel like I escaped to an oasis and come out feeling rejuvenated.

Can we get some similar suggestions for salons that do facials like this in NY? Everything in this city is over-priced and rely on too many products. I want a glow too but without paying them half my paycheck!

Yes yes yes, will make a list of this soon! Also, join groupon.com. They send a daily deal everyday for something to do in the city, and they’ve had some pretty sick facial deals.
