Fahad is cooler than me cuz he actually met Gwen Stefani

I may have had a Gwen Stefani sighting but my friend Fahad actually got to met her at the UN recently! He kindly let me borrow/steal/use his pic because I think it’s that cool.

She was there for a concert at the UN General Assembly Hall that benefits the over 3 million displaced people of the Swat Valley in Pakistan. SSGWI hosted the event, where other artists including Junoon, and Stefani’s husband Gavin Rossdale performed (check out the video here).

I really can’t help it, but I zeroed in on Stefani’s solid white nails when I saw this pic, and turns out other beauty writers have taken notice too. At the Spring 2010 L.A.M.B. fashion show, the models were also outfitted in white nails. Can’t help but think it’s going to be popping up more and more early next year. I’ve personally always loved bold white (if you’re nails are short, just a personal preference). I remember painting my nails white when I was a teeny bopper at 13 and my dad really hating it :-/ .

I still have my KO matte white polish at hand which is a little more expensive at $19, but you don’t have to pay that much for white nails.

Essie makes a classic white (“pearly white”) for only $8, and Wet N’ Wild’s French White Creme can’t be more than $2.
