My Better Burger could have been better

Better Burger is pretty much healthy fast food:

  • They only serve 100% meat (doesn’t it make you quesy just thinking that other fast food isn’t?), that is antibiotic- and hormone-free and come on toasted, whole wheat buns.
  • They also use extra virgin olive and canola oils, and trans fat-free butter to cook the food.
  • Even the fries are organic and not fried (air-baked, which means a lot less fatty than traditional fries!).
  • All reasons why I decided to stop in recently. I thought I’d try something lighter, so I went for the veggie burger. I know, I’m weird like that — I order burgers at Japanese restaurants, and veggie burgers at actual burger joints – at least this time. I was just in the mood, OK.

Don’t think I made the best choice though: It was crispy on the outside and smushy on the inside. And I forgot to order it with cheese, which could have helped greatly with the unexciting flavor.

I like the idea of healthy fast food though, and it’s relatively cheap ($5.99 for most burgers). I would go back just to try the meat, but if you’re looking for good veggie burgers, you can probably skip this one.

I really hate this place. If people are trying to eat healthy, don’t eat burgers. period.
