Fuchsia lipstick that actually works with my skin tone

For my birthday last year, one of my favorite gifts were these J. Crew magenta-colored leather gloves from my lovely friend, Rahela:

I love this color so much, ever since I got them, I’ve been inspired to go on a hunt for a perfect fuchsia/magenta colored lipstick that doesn’t look horrible on darker skin tones.

Alas, finally found the one, and it’s from none other than Lime Crime’s makeup line, which I featured previously here.

They sent me a few lip colors to try, and I was so excited when I saw that their Centrifuchsia matched the gloves perfectly!

I tried it out, and it’s such a beautiful dark pink without the blue undertones that usually clashes with darker complexions. And, not to mention, one that doesn’t channel the old school auntie look (you know what I’m talking about). It’s really pigmented with just a little bit of shine. So in love.

I usually don’t wear bold lip colors, but this one is so pretty and fun. Me thinks it’s perfect for changing it up this season.

Centrifuchsia ($16) is available at www.limecrimemakeup.com.
