I LOVE visiting the MAC counter, even when I don’t need to refill my makeup drawer. I stopped by one at Macy’s in Tyson’s Corner in Mclean, VA, last summer and met a beautiful makeup artist by the name of Naeesha. Usually, I ask about the current top selling products, but this time I asked where I could find the lipstick she was wearing. And the blush on her cheeks. And her eye shadow…
And then I stopped beating around the bush.
“Naeesha, would you please make me look just like you? I love all of the makeup you’re wearing.”
She laughed, and began working her magic. Since MAC, like many brands, requires a minimum purchase to do a makeover, I find it economical to get a makeover when I already know I’m going to buy makeup – even if that means I’m going to be all dolled up with nothing to do except go home and sit on my couch to catch up on my DVR’d episodes of Gossip Girl. Why? I always learn a few great makeup tips in the process.
The “Naeesha palette,” as I call it, is listed below. It’s so low key and natural, I’ve been rocking it regularly for months now!
Get my FACE:
Concealer – Studio Finish Concealer SPF 35, NW30
Foundation – Studio Fix Fluid, NC42
Powder – Sheer/Loose powder, NC40
Blush – Blushbaby Sheertone blush. When I first saw this I thought, there’s no way this will look good on my skin tone, I’m going to look ten years older. But I was totally wrong! This color looks beautiful.
Get my EYES:
Eyeshadows Glamour Check! blended with Grand Entrance
Eyeliner – Fluidline in Blacktrack. This liner is phenomenal! The best way to apply it is with an eyeliner brush so make sure you have one!
Brow Gel – Brow Set in Clear. This stuff is great for keeping unruly brows in place.
Mascara – Studio Fix Lash in Black Fix
Get my LIPS:
Lip Liner – Soar Lip Pencil
Lipstick – Viva Glam II Satin. I call this my “supermodel” lipstick because that’s how glam I feel wearing it! It pairs perfectly with smokey eyes.
Gloss – Clear Lipglass
