Spa Review: La Source Hair Salon & Day Spa, Arlington, VA

February 2, 2010

By Tina Chaudhary

I went to visit my favorite masseuse, Fateeha, this week at La Source Hair Salon & Day Spa in Arlington, VA. Though, instead of the usual massage, I decided to go for a facial.

For starters, she used the cutest orange-shaped eye pads on me!

She told me they were Fran Wilson’s Nourish My Eyes pads, with orange and aloe extracts that depuff and brighten.

She went on to apply a Dead Sea mask on my face. Reported benefits of this natural miracle-worker from Jordan include skin hydration, improved blood circulation and strengthening of skin tissue. The minerals in the mud are also known to relieve stress, fatigue, psoriasis, eczema, headaches, acne and wrinkles.

My friend Farin and her DIY Dead Sea facial!

My friend Farin visited Jordan last summer and gave herself an authentic dead sea mud facial for free…smart lady. I haven’t gotten around to visiting the Dead Sea lately (or ever to be exact), so it was a good thing Fateeha brought it to me with this Adovia 100% Pure Dead Sea mud mask. The mask made my skin feel super smooth. If you don’t live anywhere near Arlington, grab a jar for yourself online for $14.99.

So, two beauty products (the eye pads and face mask) that won’t set you back much if you don’t have time for the spa – though I recommend getting pampered at La Source Hair Salon & Day Spa if you can get to it!

Fran Wilson Nourish My Eyes are available at for $8.99.
