Last night, Hearst’s new beauty and wellness website site, RealBeauty.com, celebrated their official launch party downtown — and it was one pampering event.

The editors were joined by the beautiful Katharine McPhee, of American Idol season 5 fame. RealBeauty.com is all about providing content on inner and outer beauty with advice customized to all different ethnicities and lifestyles.

The party was a girl’s wonderland — hors d’oeuvres, tarot card readings, manicures, massages, makeup touch ups, and even tending to by Ted Gibson and his hairstylists.

McPhee seemed to be having a blast visiting all the beauty and wellness stations they had set up at the event. She even got her nails done in a deep burgundy before she set to perform!

Katharine kindly posed for me while getting her nails done!

My friend Nada and I soon followed suit. We were obsessing with the thick creamy colors from Zoya they used on us. Nada got hers done in “Ibiza” — a sparkly blue (showing her support for the East — she’s going to the All Stars bball game). I, on the other hand, picked “Pinta,” an almost-black inky violet cream, for no real reason.

We headed to the makeup station next where the wonderful makeup artist Marni Gianotti used a mixture of CoverGirl’sDrama Eyes” palette and “Purple Pop” to create a hazy purple and gray smokey eyes on me (more pictures in the gallery — it’s my end-of-the-night pic, so might not be the best pic but I tried!). It’s so hard for me to do smokey eyes without looking I got punched in the face, so I was loving Marni’s hand at it.

If yesterday wasn’t enough of a “cupcake” day on my blog, it seemed to have followed me to the party. They were handing out these cute mini blue and yellow RealBeauty.com-themed out cupcakes — supposedly the blue ones were good for your hair and the yellow ones give you a rosey complexions. I didn’t ask many questions and just downed them instead. Cuz that’s the smart thing to do.

I like Katharine’s voice but none of her songs have stuck out to me. Oh well – she seems really sweet!

P.s. that table laden with cover girl cosmetics is like a dream!

Nothing like getting pamper like that. Nail spa parties are a great way to socialize and get pampered. I at https://www.nailsenvie.com do these parties often.
