Salvatore Ferragamo’s new Incanto Bloom perfume

I recently attended the launch of Salvatore Ferragamo’s latest perfume launch for Incanto Bloom in Soho, where creator Sophie LabbĂ© and CEO Luciano Bertinelli were present to give us the scoop on the new floral fragrance.

Incanto Bloom perfume

With Incanto Bloom, which launched this month, the luxury brand is hoping to target the young, metropolitan, fashion-savvy ladies. While it’s aiming at a younger clientele, they’re still keeping the elegance of the fashion house alive in the scent and even the design, with Ferragamo’s iconic Vara Bow as the cap of the bottle (I also love the opalescent white flacon of the perfume).

The scent is a burst of fruity floral, with notes of grapefruit flowers, freesia, tea roses and champaca flowers. It really smells like bouquet of flowers — I’d say it’s a very young and spring-summer, daytime scent. I don’t know how else to describe it except that it smells really “pretty.” For the girly girl who loves pink, flowers, ruffles, and…bunnies maybe.

Me with Luciano Bertinelli, CEO of Ferragamo Parfums and Sophie Labbe, creator of Incanto Bloom from IFF.

The 1.4 oz is $62, and 3.4 oz is $82. My only gripe about the price is it would match up if this was a eau de parfum, but it’s a not as strong eau de toilette. It’s available now exclusively at Bloomingdale’s, and will be available nationwide in April 2010.

What do you think of Incanto Bloom? Sound like your kind of perfume?
