Brightening up with Elizabeth Grant’s Ultimate Cellular Concentrate

Elizabeth Grant Total Regeneration Ultimate Cellular Concentrate, $75

I’ve been dabbling in a lot of skin products recently, and one that was sent over to me to try was Elizabeth Grant’s Biocallasis Complex Total Regeneration Ultimate Cellular Concentrate (whew, yes it’s a mouthful). A favorite of J. Lo, Brooke Shields and Leighton Meester, this serum uses what they call Plant Stem Cell Technology to decrease the rate at which skin cells deteriorate (hence, prevent against fine lines). At $75, it’s not a cheap product, but they’re challenging the results you would get with La Prairie’s Crystalline Concentrate (which is a whopping $390!). While I’m not really looking for that type of heavy duty work just yet, I decided to give it a go anyway and see what it could do for me.

The little bottle comes with with a dropper-top you use to apply directly to your face. I thought it was a little more watery than I would have liked it to be, so I automatically assumed it wouldn’t be as strong. I used it at night before bed and in the morning right before my moisturizer. After a couple weeks, I didn’t seem to see any radical change in complexion. I figure I’d give it a little more time just to be sure.

By week three, the compliments started. Two different people told me my skin was glowing. I could start to tell myself it was a little brighter than usual. My skin felt really soft too.

The only thing that it didn’t do for me, which is something I run into often with anti-aging products, is tend to any blemishes that would pop up. It’s not formulated to do so, but I’d have to spot treat them as I went. Otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with its illuminating power.

Available at elizabethgrant.com for $75
