“I love traveling and experiencing what comes along with that, whether it’s landing a helicopter on an un-touched Alaskan mountain, eating fresh-caught seafood on Costa Rica’s beaches, or antiquing in Hurley, NY. I’m a painter, sports-enthusiast (love Midwestern football…Go EIU Panthers!), and a music-lover. I secretly always wished I was a performer and love shows like So you think you can dance? and Glee!

My style is: relaxed, beachy-cool meets downtown new york chic.

My favorite designer right now is: Lyn Devon.

People usually compliment my: huskie blue eye color with an outer weird black ring (thanks Mom and Dad!)

I’ll never forget the time: I ate frogs and toads (dipped in cheesy Dorito sauce) on the side of the road in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with Mao La Da…he wanted to take me to a local restaurant, which consisted of us sitting on a wood table under a tree.

For my skin, I use: SK-II Moisturizerand the occasional mask (and a good facial doesn’t hurt!).

Current beauty product obsession: Make Up For Ever’s eyeliner in black.I love to line my eyes on the inside, which instantly adds depth and edge to my look.

But I also can’t live without: Kevyn Aucoin Eyelash Curler. The moment I curl my lashes I feel awake and refreshed. I love this curler because it gets all the lashes in one swoop.

My favorite scent right now: I’ve never been a big perfume fan, but I love the smell of fresh-cut grass and my mom’s purple lilac bushes.

People might be surprised to know: that I graduated from NYU and took an international job based in Belgium as an economic country reporter for one year. I interviewed almost every SEO and government official in Singapore and Cambodia.

My favorite hair product is: Aussie’s 3-Minute Miracle. I love the way my hair feels after a serious deep conditioning.

I don’t understand people who don’t like: Indian Food…I absolutely love the taste of chicken tikka masala and naan!

The restaurants I can never get tired of are: August on Bleeker street in the West Village. We had our first date there 6 years ago and then my husband proposed to me outside the restaurant before surprising me with all our friends and family waiting inside. They change the menu with the seasons, but always have amazing steak and pomme frittes!

Though I can make a mean: fresh pumpkin pie! We picked the pumpkins last year and this spring we planted our own seeds to see if we can really do it from scratch…will have to wait til Fall to find out!

Who and what inspires me: the hustle and bustle of NYC always inspires me, but the hard-working, honest people of the Midwest motivate me. My dad’s athletic and passionate spirit has always pushed me to know that I can do anything. He was the captain of the 1973 National Champion Notre Dame football team and has carried that energy throughout his life and career.
