For those of you who like to go matchy-matchy, NARS has got you covered.
On July 29th (mark your calendars) the 16-year-old brand is launching
a quintet of lipgloss shades to match five of NARS’ most popular
blushes and tints — the eggshell-hued Albatross, cotton candy pink
Angelika, salmon pink Oasis, sheer apricot Luster and the
provocatively named Super Orgasm, a peachy hue with specks of gold
glitter.
While the $24 tubes will be sold exclusively at Sephora starting next
week, the ladies at NARS gave me the Angelika gloss during their
summer preview in San Francisco last month, and I’ve got to say, I’m
really digging it.
On days when I want to make a stronger color statement, I’ve been
pairing the bubblegum gloss with a matching bright pink cheek (not the
NARS Angelika shade exactly, but close) and a few swipes of mascara.
The result feels fresh and young and also gives me major flashbacks of
Tuleh’s Spring 2010 runway looks…and any chance to conjure a
Springtime feel in the 60-degree temps of San Francisco’s “summer,” I
take.
