“My dad once told me to figure out what i really love doing – and then figure out how to get paid for it. This has led me to a life 100% consumed by music, despite graduating with this crazy engineering degree. I have always been scared to death of being in front of a crowd – large or small – until one day i tried it out behind two turntables and a mixer and felt completely comfortable – and i knew that was where i was meant to be. “

My style is: contrasting – ghetto meets sexy, leather/studs meets girlie, basic meets bling, new meets vintage, cheap meets designer, goth meets fairy.

The best part about being a DJ is: All the hot groupies at the club!!! hehehe just kidding…of course…making people lose themselves dancing, screaming, sweating, throwing their hands in the air! And feeling the energy in the room that is created between you, the music, the sound, and the dance floor all interacting. Seeing everyone go nuts to a track you produced is really freaking cool too!

People usually compliment my: my jewelry or accessories, my eyes…or my set 🙂

I’ll never forget: when I went to Burning Man for the first time!

Right now, the songs I have on repeat are: anything by James Blake.

For my skin, I use: Kukui Nut oil from Hawaii – it is an incredibly moisturizing oil. It soaks into your skin rather than leaving that greasy feeling.

My favorite makeup tip: waterproof mascara like Maybelline Lash Stiletto (or Maybelline High Heel as they call it here in Germany!) — it’s a must for sweaty clubs so your mascara isn’t smearing down your face.

Current beauty product obsession: Per-fekt Skin Perfection Gel — it’s a tinted gel that fills in all the little lines on my face and feels so silky and nice. I can wear it alone for a natural look or it even works over or under my other makeup. The stuff is magic!

But I also can’t live without: NARS Bronzing Powder and clear lip gloss.

Worst habit: Nutella.

My favorite scent is: Mistral Balinese Vanilla…it is the most beautiful soft vanilla scent on the planet, I swear!

People might be surprised to know: my dad was a roadie for REO Speedwagon and tons of amazing bands for over 20 years.

My favorite hair product is: Ojon’s Shine & Protect Glossing Mist. My mom just sent it to me and it’s great… makes my hair super shiny and it smells just lovely.

I don’t understand people who don’t like: sushi (or music).

The restaurant I can never get tired of is: Sushi Zone in San Francisco. It’s a hole-in-the-wall sushi place with only two tables a sushi bar, and three employees. You have to write your name on the dry-erase board and wait – but it is so worth it! The sushi is sooooo amazing and fresh! The “striped bass mango” is a special little dish they make – some sort of secret concoction that they bake on the half shell. It just melts in your mouth and is the best thing you have ever tasted…

Though I can make a mean: White Russian! Oh whoops…that’s a drink. I was a bartender for several years, I guess I make better drinks than food. Well, I can make an excellent Larb style Thai chicken salad and a very tasty hummus. YUM!

Who inspires me: My friends — I am so lucky to be surrounded by some bad ass people that work really hard and do incredible things: music, art, photography, fashion, jewelry, food, design, performance, non-profit, “green” politics, charity, science, pimpin…
