Beauty on the Streets: Doe Deere of Lime Crime Makeup

” I was born in Russia and came to the US when I was 17 to pursue my dreams. I’ve tried many different things but nothing stuck with me as much as makeup. While doing my face is when I feel most free.. I can become anything I want. I started Lime Crime in 2008 because I couldn’t find makeup bright enough for my tastes — it’s the best job I’ve ever had!”

My style: Girly, whimsical, colorful!

People usually compliment my: I think I get equal comments on my clothes, makeup and hair 🙂

The best part about starting my own makeup line is: Making people look and feel beautiful! What more could I ask for??

I’ll never forget the time: I’d attempted to walk through a glass door. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, so I did both!

For my skin, I use: Yardley of London’s mild facial soap, wipes to remove excess makeup, and Jurlique’s rose-scented moisturizer.

My favorite makeup tip: Don’t be afraid of color! Women who wear color send a message that they know who they are and go through life fearlessly.

Current beauty product obsession: Maybelline Falsies Mascara. Nothing makes my lashes longer and fuller when I don’t have time to stick on my fake lashes!

But I also can’t live without: my foundation. I use L’Oreal True Match or Make Up For Ever’s HD Foundation. It protects my skin from harmful sun rays and serves as a barrier against pollution and dirt.

Worst habit: Chewing my hair. Actually, it stopped once I dyed it blue — not very appetizing.

My favorite scent is: Anna Sui Secret Wish. Obsessed!

People might be surprised to know: that I am an introvert. I really enjoy working by myself, being crafty.

My favorite hair product is: BLEACH.

I don’t understand people who don’t like: cats. I have two and they are the best, most gentle creatures in the world! I also have a pretty lilac mouse I adore, so I guess don’t get people who dislike rodents either.

The restaurant I can never get tired of is: Tanoreen. It’s a small Mediterranean place in Bay Ridge (Brooklyn) that uses orange blossom in everything. Their lemonade is my absolute favorite!

Though I can make a mean: omelette. My omelette will kick your omelette’s ass!

Who inspires me: Fashion (Betsey Johnson, Anna Sui, The Blonds), Music (Lady Gaga, ridiculous 80s metal bands), anyone with a vision and the passion to carry it out.

I wouldn’t recommend it – why don’t you check out some reviews, first? Like this one: http://www.lipsticksandlightsabers.com/2010/03/lime-crime-candyfutureretrorainbowaganz.html
    Or this one:

    Or look at these swatches:

Or maybe just google the company a little so you can realise why you don’t want to be affiliated with Doh while keeping a good name for your blog.
