Faces at The Makeup Show in NYC

The Makeup Show in NYC was filled to the brim (literally) with amazing makeup and expert seminars. I loved the MAC “Current Trends” seminar, in which I learned that androgynous looks as well as contemporary renditions of the discotheque style are what’s hot right now. Somehow, I was even sucked into sitting in on a “How to apply Horror Makeup” seminar, which is in no way my area of interest…but it was just plain fun. And a little creepy, I must say, when they passed along the silicone prosthetics.

Yet, although the artists and the makeup were the official stars of the show, I was mesmerized by the many attendees who had put a great deal of thought into their own looks. So here are a few pics of some anonymous makeup enthusiasts, and…just because I was amazed, a few models too.
