A very Whimsical bridal shower photobooth

If you guys have been following my tweets, you probably already know I went to the most fantastic bridal showers this past weekend. I mean seriously, A+ for creativity. I’m going to post more pictures of all the details soon, but thought I’d start with a peek at the first one. The theme was pretty unique: whimsical.” However that translates to each guest was how we were supposed to dress really, so it actually turned out to be quite fun seeing how everyone showed up.  The idea was inspired by an Alice-in-Wonderland/Mad Hatter tea party, but extended from there with little, personalized details sprinkled all over the place that were unique to the bride. One of the cutest ideas was setting up a photobooth at the shower. One of her friends who helped organize the party, Rowa Lee, is a professional photographer, so she snapped some fun pictures I think really captured the theme (she texted me the next morning to say, “Shyema, you are eating in all my pics.” Just doing my job 🙂 ).

It’s the first time I ever wore a hat for a party, but it was fun getting into character :). The red Nars lipstick pulled it all together (NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in Vesuvio).

  5. This is such an adorable idea! Is the bride-to-be South Asian by any chance? I’d love to feature her bridal shower photos on my South Asian wedding blog, The Sari-Clad Bride, if she’d up for it. If you could pass on either the photographer or the bride’s email address at [email protected] that’d be great!

    Thanks!
