I feel like this piece could have been titled better…nonetheless, it was beautifully shot.

Here’s a little more on the video.

Fashion

A revamped Annie Sez

Fashion Week trip to Annie Sez

Sadly, I feel like I’m forever catching up on all the things that happened during Fashion Week. But this one is worth mentioning, and it was actually a trip outside of New York to Jersey (no, really) — New Brunswick to be exact. I was invited to check out the new Annie Sez store. I admit, it would take a lot for me to leave the island, but I was promised it’d be worth it.

French Connection, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Lucky Brand, and more jackets

I can’t say I’ve ever been to an Annie Sez. I know it was one of the “designers-for-less” store variety but that’s about it. When I went though, the first thing I found was how well it was merchandised — instead of trying to sift through thousands of shirts in one area of a million mixed brands, they were all grouped by a single brand: Marc by Marc Jacobs in one corner, Vivienne Tam in another, Lucky Brand, and on. It made shopping a LOT easier. And the accessories! Their shoes in particular made me drool: L.A.M.B., Steve Madden, BCBG…I mean, check some of these out:

Designer shoes

Leather jackets for under $100

And lastly, they were so on trend: furs, animal prints, leathers, brights to color block. I walked out of there with a Cynthia Steffe shirt that was originally $80 for only $19, and this Isabella Rodriguez leopard print shirt that I pretty much live in now for only $20*.

Me with my friend Samira at a bachelerotte party. Also me living in my new top from Annie Sez.

This particular store just opened last month. In case you’re thinking that you’ve been to an Annie Sez that doesn’t look like this one, keep a look out — all their other stores are following suit and their buyers are tirelessly looking for the best deals, so a re-vamp in structure is underway! One thing that the Creative Director asked us to do before we left is: “Please, keep us in your tweets!” I thought that was cute :). Follow Annie Sez (@shopanniesez) to stay in the loop for more deals!

MUSIC - RANDOM

Vacation playlist

Hi everyone!! I’m sorry for the dead air on here. I took a few days off and recuperating from weeks of non-stop work, running around, and all that jazz. I’ll still be posting soon…just thought I’d explain since this is the longest I’ll go without writing anything!! In the mean time, these songs have been on repeat on my playlist so I thought I’d share :D.

Foster the People
– Pumped Up Kicks
Beyoncé – End of Time
Lupe Fiasco ft Skylar Grey – Words I Never Said
The Hours (Calvin Harris remix) – See the Light
LMFAO – Party Rock Anthem
Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP – We No Speak Americano
Stromae ft. Kanye West – Alors on Dans

I’m so random.

Um. So. Anyone looking for a new concealer?

DermaBlend pretty much makes their point across in this video. I’ve had people tell me how good this brand of makeup is but I haven’t checked it out myself yet. Any other Dermablend fans out there??

And if you didn’t recognize him, that’s Rick Genest aka “Zombie Boy, also seen in Lady Gaga‘s “Born this Way” video….

American - FOOD - "The Delicious" - Pizza

Last day to catch Madison Square Eats!

Madison Square Eats

If there’s one thing you do tonight, I’d suggest checking out Madison Square Eats if you haven’t yet! I realize this might be sort of a disservice to tell you all about this so late in the game, but since there IS one more day to catch it, I figure why not.

Madison Square Eats

Madison Square Eats

I have been passing by it for months but I FINALLY stopped by last week. They have outposts from some of the best restaurants and food carts in Manhattan and Brooklyn all in one place. The tables and canopy of lights give it such a pretty ambiance too.

Roberta's Pizza

Roberta's Pizza

I wanted a burger from Graffiti but they had run out so I walked down to the Roberta’s Pizza booth and ordered a seasonal personal size pizza with squash, mushroom, thyme, and basil. Delicious!

Seasonal pizza!

My friend went to Asiadog for a kimchi and chicken organic hot dogs. I don’t even think I can’t even remember the last time I had a hot dog, but these were so good. Everything is decently priced too. It’s such a quintessential NY experience so if you haven’t gone yet, check it out! It’s open until 9pm and again, tonight’s your LAST chance to catch it so bring your appetite! Located on Broadway, near 24th street :).
