Brooklyn We Glow Hard: A facial at Tres-Belle Spa

There are not a lot of things that can make me trek down deep into Brooklyn (or really, anywhere outside of my apartment) on my day off, but Allison Tray really has her ways.

Tres Belle Spa

The vivacious owner of Tres Belle Petite Medi-Spa has practically been my e-penpal for months–months!–as we tried to pin down a date for me to visit her spa that Refinery29 touted as one of Brooklyn’s hottest.

Inside Tres Belle

FINALLY, almost a year later, it happened. I came in for a facial with Carrie Lindsey. Besides the fact that she’s a licensed esthetician for over 14 years, you can trust her own Cali-girl glow that you’re in good hands. She first asked me about my concerns and got the intel on my diet and how it affects my skin (turns out my love for milk in my chai was contributing to some gnarly blemishes around my jawline). Then, using a medley ofTata Harper‘s 100% organic products, microcurrent therapy, and finishing off with a cool, relaxing massage with these beauty globes, I walked out of her my Goddess facial with skin that was nothing short of glowing. And my skin just progressively got better the rest of the week.

Right after my facial with Carrie (no makeup)

Might have been a year later, but all worth the wait. There truly is a difference when you go to a spa where the staff is just as friendly as they are educated on the skin. Plus, they’re kinda hilarious too — check out the list of things Allison and Carrie compiled for me on a keepsake stationery before I left:
All the things to remember...

Translation: A documentary I need to check out made by Carrie’s friend, restaurants to visit, skin/diet advice…and a Seinfeld joke.

Here’s even more reason to book an appointment now: For the entire month of October, Tres Belle will donate 10% of profits from their Ageless Goddess facial to the American Cancer Society to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
