If you haven’t already seen the viral video of a nervous reporter interviewing Mila Kunis (many outlets are dubbing “World’s Greatest Interview”), then please pause for a second and do so now. Afterwards, come back to gawk at her gorgeousness at the Oz London premiere. Lucky for us, I got the deets on how to achieve her makeup and glimmering hair, from the experts at Laura Mercier and Morocconoil.
MAKEUP
Makeup artist Tracey Levy created a “modern and sexy” makeup look for Kunis.
FLAWLESS FACE:
As soon as Kunis stepped out of the shower, Levy prepped her skin with RéVive Intensité Moisture Serum Extrême ($350) to restore the skin’s natural moisture, followed by Laura Mercier Foundation Primer ($32) to ensure her makeup looked fresh through the entire evening.
She then applied Laura Mercier Oil-Free Suprême Foundation in Sunny Beige to even Kunis’ skin. She applied “a touch” of Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-3 around Kunis’ nose and under her eyes to conceal minor imperfections.
Next, she dusted Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder in Universal onto the skin to set the look. Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder #2set the under-eye area.
Levy then contoured Kunis’ cheekbones using Laura Mercier Bronzing Powder in Golden Bronze and dusted the powder onto her neck and chest to give her a glow from head-to-toe.
She used Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in Peach Mosaic to highlight the star’s upper cheekbones.
Lastly, she applied Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Praline onto the upper apples of Kunis’ cheeks and blended the shade with the existing shimmer.
“SOFT GREY LAVENDER SMOKY” EYES:
Levy applied Laura Mercier Eye Canvas in EC-2 to ensure that Kunis’ eye makeup would last throughout the entire evening.
Next, she lightly dabbed Baked Eye Colour in Silver onto the middle of Kunis’ lid to add a highlighting effect.
Then she smudged Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Amethyst into the crease and along the top and bottom lashlines.
To add depth, Levy then used Crème Eye Liner in Noir to line Kunis’ eyes. She also applied Tightline Cake Eye liner in Black Ebony along the water line.
Next, she filled in Kunis’ eyebrows using Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil in Deep Blonde and set them with Eye Brow Gel.
Levy finished the eyes by applying two generous coats of Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara to Kunis’ top and bottom lashes.
NUDE LIPS:
Levy lightly lined Kunis’ lips using Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Naked.
To complete the look, she lightly applied Sheer Lip Colour in Nude Lips using her finger.
HAIR
Mila’s shimmering hair look designed by Celebrity Stylist Mara Roszak for Moroccanoil.
“After seeing Mila’s gorgeous dress, I envisioned a straight, shiny blowout with a perfect part in the middle,” said Mara Roszak. “Since the dress had dramatic print detail and flowing ruffles, I wanted to keep the hair clean, shiny and modern.”
How the look was created:
“I first applied Moroccanoil Treatment to Mila’s damp hair starting at the ends and working my way up. A smooth, silky finish with a modern-looking shine was essential to the look.
“Then, using a Moroccanoil Round Brush, I blow dried hair making sure the ends were especially smooth and straight.
“I set the top and crown of her hair in medium Velcro rollers for a touch of volume and bounce.
“Once the hair was dry, I used a 1” flat iron and ran it over her hair starting mid-length and ends. I then misted Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray all over the hair for extra shine.
“To finish the look, I lightly sprayed on Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium, adding a touch to my fingers to tap down any remaining flyway’s.”
