The line to get into the Generation Beauty conference!

Over the weekend, thousands of women from all over the country lined up to attend the first time ever Generation Beauty (about 1200, and yes I was one of them). It’s a three-day weekend event held at LA LIVE in Downtown, Los Angeles where attendees were able to talk to some of their favorite and most influential make-up artists from the web up close (like Michelle Phan) along with learning about up and coming products and having the chance to buy some of their old, and now new, favorite products at a generous discount.

BareMinerals stand

Brands from BareMinerals, Sexy Hair, Nicole OPI, and Benefit were just a few of the booths set up in the venue allowing their fans to not only try out exciting new products but also learn the best way to use them!

Product demos

The event consisted of all day meet-ups at over 20 booths and also conference style tutorials where they were able to ask some of the top creators, like Phan, Kandee Johnson and MissGlamorazzi, their best tips on how to not only apply their favorite make-up but also to help show them how to create their OWN brand and YouTube page to spread their passion.

From workshops titled “Your Fans: Finding Them and Building a Relationship with Them” to “Incorporating Your Personal Life into Your content,” main stage presentations were extremely informative and motivational.

Attending as a bystander, and cashing out on some sample goodies, I wasn’t expecting to discover a new makeup line that I would fall in love with. Pixi is a brand straight out of London that is now making a real name for itself here in the states. Opening up in Targets and other local stores, Pixi has a great story and great make-up to go along with it! My favorite was the Endless Silky Eye Pen. I’m the type of person that likes to look effortlessly amazing (emphasis on the effortless). That’s why this eye pen easily worked its way into my heart.

Testing out Pixi's Eye makeup

You simply place a line of one of their amazing color choices (I used TrueTeal) and go over your already lined eye-lid to give your face that pop of color without having to try too hard. It’s amazing! For $15.00, I have to push that this is a MUST-HAVE.

Hair styling session

OH hey and I even got my hair done! I suggest to all you make-up lovers try and attend their next event!
