How to: Messy waves for short hair

I’ve been team long-hair for so long, that when I finally chopped my hair a few months ago, it took me a while to figure out how to style it. A few of you have asked how I do the messy waves in my pictures, so I did a quick video on Instagram on it. Check it out:

A couple of you asked me how I do these messy waves for a lob so I did a quick video while I was getting ready 😁💁🏽. I don't use a curling iron! I normally start with a @moroccanoil heat protectant and do a rough blow dry, then I'll clip up half my hair and use @patrick_evan_salon's flat iron to create bends through the bottom layer, and then unclip the top to do the rest. Afterwards, I'll go over and straighten the ends and then use @love_amika's texturizing spray to rough it up and create a light hold.
