New nail color alert: Bermuda Shorts

You guys suggested I try Bermuda Shorts by Essie, therefore I had to oblige. At the Spa Week kickoff event I told you about, I had my pick of 50-something different shades, but then I eyed this magenta color Sidra had suggested.

Check it out. I think this is a fun summer pick, though I have to say, I’m not sure this is ‘my’ color. I didn’t get the best mani job either, but I thought it looked prettier in the bottle. Maybe that’s just me though, I feel more into softer shades right now. What do you think?

  3. Lighter shades are indeed the order of the day this spring/summer. I’m also into light shades that still ‘pop’, particularly:

    Chanel Robertson LA Sunset: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8D5qVf5VMxs/SH2RHjk99sI/AAAAAAAADEI/5IpktuiZL5A/s400/chanel-robertson-boulevard-la-sunset.jpg

They retail a little higher than other Chanel polishes (at $25 instead of $20) and can be found online or at Neiman Marcus, but every time I wear either of these shades they bring this unique color to my hands, not to mention people always ask what polish I’m wearing.

To be honest, Sephora OPI (and probably every other brand out there) has its own more modestly-priced variations, such as Cab Fare and Special Request (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P217311&categoryId=S10701&shouldPaginate=true).
