Carlashes: Eyelashes for your car?

I mean…I know some people like to name their cars and pretend it has its own personality but I think CarLashes just took it to a whole other level. The company makes adhesive curled “lashes” that attach to your car’s headlights, giving it sort of well, a bit of a face lift? And it’s only $24.95. Shockingly, there’s more: you can add “Crystal Eyeliner” for an additional $19.95. The rhinestone bling attaches directly on the paint. Well…if you want your car to really get noticed, I’m pretty sure this will do the job. It’s a little too kooky for me, but points for creativity?

Last night, my cousin told me about how she’s obsessing over Lady Gaga’s nail polish color on her Vanity Fair September cover:

You may know already how much I love dove-colored nails (from my post on Essie’s Body Language nail polish, a similar color to this one). I also think it’s one of the few colors that looks good on short or long nails. I thought the one on the Gaga cover was a matte gray, but turns out it’s a “putty-liscious” cream gray from Deborah Lippmann, called “Waking up in Vegas”.

It’s already a top seller on their site (no doubt with some help of the Gaga cover). You can “Waking Up in Vegas” on deborahlippmann.com for $16.

My favorite makeup tip: If you apply your foundation on with a sponge, it’s always best to wet it first so the moisture locks in your skin and your make up looks fresh.

Current beauty product obsession: Nars Orgasm Illuminator — not quite a bronzer, yet it is. So amazing, perfect for the summer time.

But I also can’t live without: Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. It’s so light and the colors range in every shade, for all skin types.

My favorite scent is: Bvlgari Omina Green Jade is the most sexiest scent out there right now. My boyfriend loves when I wear that perfume.

People might be surprised to know: I love to cook!!! I cook all the time when I’m home, and it’s not little things like eggs or pasta.

My favorite hair product is: I love Aveda. I will try anything from their line.

I don’t understand people who don’t like: Chicken fried steak!

The restaurant I can never get tired of is: Big Daddy’s diner! It’s the best. They have a couple locations but it has the best breakfast in the city.

Though I can make mean: Spicy Cherry BBQ Ribs!!!! It’s an all day process, but when I tell you it’s heaven in your mouth, you could die a happy person haha!

Who inspires me: My life inspires me! Everyday I learn something new, or I’m in an exotic location and it’s truly a blessing. So, yes, my life inspires me knowing that the journey has just begun.

NARS Pure Matte Lipsticks

Behind-the-scenes of Model Heather Marks Nars' shoot

Just in time for fall, NARS finally unveiled their Pure Matte lipstick ($25). Ever since my favorite matte lipstick got discontinued (RIP Clinique Nude Bloom), I’ve been looking for a similar replacement that won’t look cakey. These lipsticks contain vitamin E, acai oil and wild mango butter, so they say it will condition your lips instead of drying them out.

To promote the collection which just launched exclusively at Saks on the 1st, model Heather Marks stars in a short film, “Infinite Reflections,” directed by Tim Richardson.
