Nars Cheeky new lip glosses
By Katie Hintz
For those of you who like to go matchy-matchy, NARS has got you covered.
On July 29th (mark your calendars) the 16-year-old brand is launching
a quintet of lipgloss shades to match five of NARS’ most popular
blushes and tints — the eggshell-hued Albatross, cotton candy pink
Angelika, salmon pink Oasis, sheer apricot Luster and the
provocatively named Super Orgasm, a peachy hue with specks of gold
glitter.

Beauty Tip of the Day: Treating Chapped Lips

· Get lip balms with moisturizing ingredients: This includes petrolatum, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and dimethicone which are all good at restoring moisture. The most important thing is to use a balm that’s viscous, not waxy, so ingredients penetrate fissures. If you have chronic chapping, look for a lip treatment that contains ceramides, which help restore the skin barrier.
· What to avoid: Anyone with eczema should make sure her balm doesn’t contain lanolin. Since fragrance is the number one skin allergen, stay away from heavily scented or flavored balms; cinnamon can be particularly irritating. (Menthol actually soothes itching, though.)

Lip Gloss Confessional: The “Other” Man
If there’s one thing all of us need, it’s having “the one” right by our side…I’m talking lip gloss. For me, that means one that’s easy to apply, easy to remove, not sticky, and finishes my look. Plain and simple.
And once we have that gloss, managing it is practically a project in and of itself: Where did I put it? I hope I didn’t leave it in the car in the heat. Did I remember to put it in my coat pocket before the party? Is it almost finished? Should I buy another one? Is it time to reapply? Should I dump this color for a new one? Ah…the neurosis of it all.
Beauty Tip of the Day: Lasting Lip Gloss
To help your lip gloss last longer, use a nude lip pencil first to fill in your lips, and then apply your gloss.
