GIVEAWAY: Axe’s new Excite line
You all know by now I’m a stickler for (awesome) smells. Well, Axe just sent me their newest line, Excite, and I’m having a hard time stopping myself from misting the body spray all over my apartment because it smells.so.GOOD. Even my girl friends who were sitting around while I was recklessly misting the living room with it were getting up from their seats to get a closer sniff, “WOW that smells good.” It’s a blend of coconut, caramel, and hazelnut but to me it just smells like MAN. Ok fine, maybe a really hot man. I like that it has a masculine woody smell, but still fresh so it’s not overpowering (yes, guys CAN actually go overboard with the cologne, and that’s not good either).
Since I have no one to give this to (sorry male friends…I feel like it would just be awkward for you to smell this amazing) my living room will continue to smell like Axe. Good news is Axe is partnering up with BATF to give three of you a chance to get your hands on a dopp kit of Excite’s 24 Hour deodorant, anti-perspirant, revitalizing shower gel, and deodorant body spray by entering today’s giveaway!

Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler are amazing.the end.
More on this soon, but can we just take ONE moment to talk about how freakin awesome Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler are? I was super impressed that designers of their calibre took time out of their insane Fashion Week schedule to talk to a room full of bloggers about the relationship between their brand and media.
They are the most down-to-earth, nicest guys and stayed back to talk to a few of us (and of course I asked them about their favorite restaurants in NYC, to come). I don’t know if their small entourage of people were friends or colleagues but they were just as laidback and sweet. And can we also talk about how Jack is looking straight at me right here with his piercing blue eyes? That’s all I’m really writing this post for.
PS, I abhore these pics of me, but I’ll still post it because…they’re are just…so…beautiful.
I’m uploading the videos of their talk right now, so check back soon! Any other Proenza fans out there who understand my excitement here?

Hair Room Service: Luxury at your door step
**READ TIL THE END FOR AN EXCLUSIVE BATF READER DISCOUNT**
If you’ve always thought the idea of beauty services coming to your doorstep was reserved for celebrities, you’ll be happy to hear about Hair Room Service. The NYC-based company, founded by stylist Michael Dueñas, is really the first of its kind. You can book one of his entourage of exclusive celebrity stylists (note, they ONLY staff celebrity stylists who’ve worked with the likes of Mariah Carey, Padma Lakshmi, Molly Sims, etc.) who will come to your apartment or hotel to get you all dolled up. You might be thinking it would cost a fortune, but haircuts start at $85 and makeup applications at $125…which if you’re living in the city is about how much you’d pay to go to an upscale salon.
Gift Guide: Fogless LED-lighted Shower Mirror for guys
I think the Z’ Fogless Shower Mirror would be a really useful gift for the guys on your list. It’s a 1x magnifying, unbreakable mirror that can be used in the shower. It won’t fog due to its patented coating and also has automatic LED lights and space for his razors for easy shaving. As much he might find this a reason to take extra long showers, the digital alarm clock will make sure he has no excuses for being late.
The Z’ Fogless shower mirror is available at Bed Bath & Beyond for $30.

Finding Good Hair Product for Men
By ASy
***Read til the end for a Philip Kinglsey Giveaway!***

I’m a sucker for two things: good kicks and good hair. Whether you own a pair of Jordan’s, Puma’s, or the John Varvatos Chuck Taylors, each unique sneaker has its own personality and usually tells a story about who you are, your character and style. Like a fresh pair of Nikes, a good hair style does precisely the same.
But time and time again, whenever the American Crew Pomadeor the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shaping Cream
containers come to an end, I find myself wondering what product I’ll buy next, because I am never fully satisfied. I make do, but sometimes at the expense of too much product, it results in a heavy feeling and most importantly, a stiff, flaky look.
I’ve struggled to find a good reliable product, until now…
