X-Men revisited: Vote on the guys!
So, when we did my random “please-entertain-Shyema” vote on the best X-(wo)men cartoon hair, I think it was split between Jean Grey and Rogue. By the way, I was really surprised hipster-looking Jubilee got no love from you guys haha. What gives?
Since we’re talking hair anyway, which X-men GUY had the best head of hair (or no hair?). I LOVE Hugh Jackman as much as the next girl, but for the cartoon series, Gambit had my favorite spikey style so count one vote from yours truly. I just thought he was cool, k?
Which X-mAn do you think had the best hair? Scott Summers aka Cyclops, James Howlett aka Logan aka Wolverine, Remy Etienne aka Gambit, or our Charles Xavier aka Professor X?
Which X-Men gal had the best hair?
X-Men was my all-time favorite Saturday morning cartoon to watch back in the day. I thought it was so cool that the Marvel comics-based show about mutants with super powers had powerful women characters too. My favorite was always Rogue. I thought her super power was fascinating — she couldn’t touch anyone for too long because the longer she did, the more she would absorb their strength, powers, and memories. Helped in bad times, not in good as the show portrayed.
Of course, I have to relate this to something beauty (oh yes, I am). Comic females always have hyperbolized feminine features, including their hair. Hope there are some X-Men fans out there who would recognize the ones below, but which X-Men woman below would you vote for having the coolest hair: Jean Grey, Rogue, Storm, or Jubilee?
New shower head = healthy hair?
One of you asked about shower heads. It’s funny you ask, because being a reality show junkie to a point of fault, I used to love watching celeb hairstylist Jonathon Antin’s show on Bravo, Blow Out [Interesting sidenote: he's the brother of The Pussycat Dolls founder, Robin Antin...I didn't know that while I was watching the show, and it blew my mind when I found out. Not sure why].
Anyway, I promise this all has a point.
Lady Gaga’s birthday present to her hair
Don’t judge me, but I actually kind of LOVE Lady Gaga’s fashion forwardness, and she makes no exception when it comes to beauty. It’s risky, and that not only fits her persona perfectly, I think the extremes she pushes just about everything makes me want to work my own creative juices. For her birthday a few days ago, the Just Dance-ing Queen Twittered this:
My long hair is back today, lavender locks for my birthday! tonight at midnight. 23. Its been the best year of my life, I’m so grateful. Xx
First of all I can’t believe she just turned 23, cuz that makes me feel slightly nauseous about myself, but more importantly, I’m guessing this means she’s sporting a look similar to the pic below. I actually freaking loved this look when I first saw it, but that doesn’t mean I’m running out the door for some lilac-hued hair dye. I can just totally appreciate this – and the matchy lipstick? I think it works for her.
