I went to Dubai last October for a week and OMG. I can’t say I had even one bad meal there. Eating time was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Let’s start with Shakespeare and Co. café.
It’s a chain of restaurants that has also expanded itself into a pâtisserie and flower shop. The décor is very cool-granny chic – it has elegant chaises and embroidered upholstered fabric sofas for seating and crystal chandelier lighting throughout, but even more inviting is its laidback fare of paninis, pastas, pizza, coffee blends, and juice cocktails.
I had the tender chicken burger, which as marinated chicken with lettuce, tomato, and mozzarella sandwich that comes with fries. I think my cousin ordered the halloumi dish below. You can probably see that the portions are pretty generous as well. Perfect for a mid-day lunch in style, starting at 50 Dhs and goes up to about 200 Dhs, which is a range of about $13-$50. The chocolate assortment on display there looked so sweet too, but I barely had any room after my sandwich. Next time? More pictures below!
