The amazing curly hair expert, Ouidad, talked me through the hair backstage at the Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2011 show and she is bringing back TEXTURE!
“The most exciting thing is I’m bringing curls to Fashion week!” I would have expected nothing less :). I love that the trends we’re seeing backstage are pretty translatable to real life. Here’s a brief interview with Ouidad:

*Texture is the most important
*Rebecca wanted sensuality and the next day, bed head with lots of movement
*According to what Ouidad, Minkoff wanted it to look as if you had the most exciting evening the night before, and you just got up and this is how your hair looks like.
*Tools used: Ouidad’s volumizing lotion, creme, styling mist to create bend and texture.
*If you have straight hair, create the curls with a curling iron, roll up the curl and pin up to create volume. Afterwards, remove pins, and brush out with your fingers.
