Make Up For Ever’s “UNRETOUCHED” Ad Campaign

This is pretty cool: Make Up For Ever just released the first images from their first-ever “Unretouched” ad campaign using their HD cosmetic line.

It could be the first time a makeup company has ever printed ads of completely unretouched images. Along with the ads, they’ve also launched a micro-site (Link: www.hd-not-retouched.com) to show behind-the-scenes footage from the shoots. The campaign is trying to show that their product line can provide results so flawless, skin does not have to be digitally altered.

From the press release: “While unretouched photography has been celebrated by magazines and celebrities alike, there are still very few advertising campaigns that use imagery that has not been digitally altered. HD Invisible Cover Foundation was developed specifically to mask imperfections that are often magnified in front of a camera lens, without adding texture to the skin. MAKE UP FOR EVER is thrilled to show women everywhere that they can look perfect both in front of the lends and in their everyday lives by choosing products that deliver professional results and can stand up to modern technology.

Pretty interesting campaign. I’m actually surprised no brand has really taken an initiative like this before. I just hope they do more of these featuring a range of girls with different skin tones. What do you guys think?
