Deliciousness at a whimsical-themed bridal shower

A little over a week ago, I had mentioned that I went to some preeety amazing bridal showers. I promised you more pictures of all the amazing little details, and I finally got them! The bride’s friend, Rowa Lee, took all these pictures from her Alice-in-Wonderland/Mad Hatter Tea Party inspired party. She caught some touching moments, and ALL the food down to the last crumb!

No detail was spared. The bride loves elephants, so her friends made her an elephant (which was as tall as me!). Everyone had the cutest place setting, each stamped with their respective nicknames. Check out the bride-to-be’s mini-setting above (notice to little “Eat Me” sign on the cupcake!). Mine is below :).

Besides the creative decor, the food was among the most thoughtful touches to the party. Her friends who hosted the event went to New York City from Jersey that morning to get her favorite things (cupcakes from Billy’s, savory scones from Clinton Street Baking Co., cream puffs from Beard Papa’s, etc). Everything else was homemade.

Rowa was not lying when she said I was eating in all her pics

The favors’ table was equally adorable. We lined the take home doggy bags alone a string, and kept it secure with baby clothespins. The guests had rows of different types of teas they can take home in little glass bottles, along with chocolate covered biscottis, and homemade cookies (courtesy of Z!).

After eating, we shifted to the next room to open gifts and play a customized game of Taboo. We made flash cards with the bride’s and groom’s favorite things and had the bride guess them all.

Let the games begin...

And no party is really done until you serve the chai!

Unless you’re me. Then you keep eating.

By the way, that picture was totally candid! As I mentioned, ALL these photos were taken by Rowa, so a very special thanks to her for taking the time to go through all her pictures and sharing. She really has a knack for capturing moments. Visit her site: Studio R. Sabeen is lucky she has such wonderful people in her life (well, like me, duh), but more importantly her besties Safia, Melissa Choi, and Suzie Ham who worked tirelessly to put it all together.

The ONE picture I did take before my camera died on me was from the night before…the lights are so darn pretty! I would never take these decorations down. Party everyday, Yaay!

Lovely at night too
