You guys, so excited to tell you all about Temptu’s AIRbrush System (in case you haven’t heard about it already!). I’ve been using it on myself and others for major events since it launched in 2009.
The AIRbrush system and their patented AIRpod makeup is some of the best I’ve ever used for professional no-fail flawless looks from home (although it’s behind the scenes at major music (Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Madonna), TV (Dancing with the Stars, The Voice, Mad Men), movies (with Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman) and fashion shows (Prada, Dior, Herve Leger). And as intimidating as it might look, I promise, the spray on makeup is super easy to use.
The Temptu system comes with its own AIRbrush pods that just attach with a simple click. All you have to do it de-tach the caps of the airpods and snap it in the airbrush handle.
The foundations have a built in primer and a proprietary formula that contains an advanced smoothing complex and color-correcting pigments they call their “Magic Eraser.” So step 1, after shaking the foundation pod, snap it in place on the tip of the AIRbrush and press the power button on the compressor. It will sound like a soft motor started. Then, holding the airbrush about 4 to 6 inches away from your face, pull the trigger and start moving the AIRbrush in small circular motions. Having the soft bursts of air on your face is actually a pretty relaxing feeling! Don’t hold it any closer — you might apply too much. The change is super subtle so you might feel like you’re not applying enough but the key here is that you get the Temptu foundation to disperse on your face with really light, gradual layers.
Next, snap on your blush pod. I used it in Sheer Berry. The best part is, you can just press the little button on your airbrush to snap off the pod and snap on the new one with no mess or cleanup. I like to just smile and apply in circular motions to the apples of my cheek.
Finally, the last step is the highlighter (which I used in Gold). I apply it in a ‘C’ shape starting from my brow bone down to my cheek bone. This gives a very light, radiant finish to the high points of your face. And you’re done! The whole thing doesn’t take me more than 7-10 minutes. I did it right after waking up (not a pretty sight), and here’s how it’s looking:
