Bobbi Brown beauty tips backstage at Halston Fall 2011

Bobbi Brown backstage at Halston

Bobbi Brown: Lining your eyes will make your eyes look smaller, but more mysterious

Halston beauty: natural look to the skin, but a strong eye
The makeup was changed last minute for the Halston presentation, and according to the makeup extraordinaire, Bobbi Brown who took the lead backstage, it was because they did a trial in a very bright place which was very different from the dark room models would be in that night. “It didn’t work anymore,” she said. Instead, she added emphasis on the eyes with heavier liner. “It’s a very clean, natural look to the skin but strong eyes.” She relayed a few more beauty tips to achieve the look, including tips for lining the inner rims of your eyes (“The first time I ever did pencil on the inside of someone’s eyes was actually Keith Richards,” she shares), how to get luminous skin (she swears by face oil), and the best way to pick out a concealer (hint: use a color corrector. “It’s like Spanx for your face — we all need a pair of Spanx and we all need color corrector.”) See the video below for the full interview:
